What is Botulinum Toxin?

Botulinum Toxin (commonly referred to as Botox®), is a neurotoxin that is used to treat lines and wrinkles on the face which are caused by facial movements such as frowning and smiling.

What does the Beginner's Anti Line Injectables training course involve?

You will be sent pre-course e-learning to study prior to the training. This has been created to provide our learners with substantial knowledge and preparation for their journey into the field of Aesthetics. We work hard to ensure our content reflects many of the components of the material required for Level 7. You will be provided with materials and learning that covers:

Skin & Facial Anatomy

What is Botulinum Toxin

How Botulinum Toxin works

Storage & Dilution

Prescribing

Assessing lines and wrinkles

Patient selection and treatment options

Case studies

Product Placement

Managing Expectations

Consultation, Contraindications and Aftercare

Practical Injection Technique & Observation

Various additional resources are provided that go into considerable detail to assist you with your role as an Aesthetic Practitioner.

An interactive presentation covering all aspects of the treatment, a review of your e-learning, demonstration and a hand on practical session will take place on the day.

Following the presentation, each delegate will be given time to carry out a full medical consultation with their model, to assess their face, ensuring their suitability for the treatment and that they understand any risks or side effects. Delegates will carry out the treatment on their models under the supervision of our educator. As all of our training courses are limited to small groups, the practical session allows all delegates to observe a wide range of treatment indications and techniques, with ample opportunity for questions, feedback and guidance.

Following the course, what support will I receive?

Once you have introduced the treatment to your clinics, our team will be happy to offer advice and guidance should you have any questions. We can be contacted by phone or email.

Do you offer support with prescriptions for delegates who do not hold a prescribing qualification?

If you are not a prescriber, we will, where possible, try to put you in touch with a doctor or nurse in your area .it is the delegates responsibility to arrange all consultations with the prescriber.

We also offer all delegates ongoing support and continued professional development. Our Training Director and Lead Trainer, Dawn, is qualified to Master’s Degree Level, with a Level 7 qualification in Advanced Nurse Practice, and a successful Medical Aesthetics Business in York.V
